Language names are not in local language

• In the German version of the website it says "Englisch" to change language
• In the English version of the website it says "German" to change language

While yes if you look hard you can find it. If people do not speak a language then they don't skim all of the words they don't know. It would make sense on the for the German version to say "English" to help the English speakers (or even "Switch to English"). And for the English section to say "Deutsch" (or "Auf Deutsch umstellen"*) to help German speakers find the German version.
