+Das Projekt **LAUDS Factories** ist ein Zusammenschluss von insgesamt 13 internationalen Kollaborator:innen mit dem gemeinsamen Ziel, eine offene und nachhaltige Produktion in europäischen Großstädten zu fördern. Das Akronym LAUDS steht dabei für "Local, Accessible, Urban, Digital and Sustainable" - auf Deutsch: Lokal, barrierefrei, städtisch, digital und nachhaltig.

+Auch die **Fab City Hamburg e.V.** ist ein Teil dieses Projekts. Und um ein konkretes Verständnis davon zu entwickeln, wie eine Produktion nach LAUDS-Prinzipien in der Zukunft aussehen kann und soll, haben wir am 8. Mai mit der Unterstützung von Vertreter:innen der **Helmut-Schmidt-Universität** einen Workshop zu genau diesem Thema im Circular Office im Jupiter abgehalten.

+Dabei haben wir zunächst Definitionen für die Begriffe erarbeitet, auf denen das LAUDS Projekt aufbaut. Auch die Ziele einer LAUDS Factory, sowie ihre ideale Struktur, wollten wir gemeinsam erforschen. Für die Produktion in der Großstadt ist natürlich zu beachten: es muss schnell gehen und möglichst wenig Platz einnehmen. Wichtig ist, dass die erforderliche Infrastruktur zur Verfügung steht sowohl für Produzent:innen als auch für Verbraucher:innen. Maximale Transparenz durch **open-source und digitale Plattformen** sollte allen interessierten Mitbürger:innen die Teilhabe an und den Zugang zu lokaler Produktion ermöglichen.

+Nach drei Stunden gemeinsamen Überlegens und mehreren mit Post-Its zugeklebten Stellwänden haben wir schließlich den Workshop mit dem Gefühl abgeschlossen, der zukünftigen LAUDS Factory einen Schritt näher gekommen zu sein. Wir freuen uns darauf, diesen Worten Taten folgen zu lassen und effektive Strategien zu entwickeln, um die Prinzipien des Projekts hier in Hamburg zu implementieren.

+The **LAUDS Factories** project is an association of 13 international collaborators with the common goal of promoting open and sustainable production in major European cities. The acronym LAUDS stands for “Local, Accessible, Urban, Digital and Sustainable”.
+
+**Fab City Hamburg e.V.** is also part of this project. And in order to develop a concrete understanding of what production according to LAUDS principles can and should look like in the future, we held a workshop on precisely this topic at the Circular Office in Jupiter on May 8 with the support of representatives from the Helmut Schmidt University.

+We started by developing definitions for the terms on which the LAUDS project is based. We also wanted to explore the goals of a LAUDS Factory and its ideal structure together. When it comes to production in the big city, of course, it needs to be quick and take up as little space as possible. It is important that the necessary infrastructure is available for both producers and consumers. Maximum transparency through **open-source and digital platforms** should enable all interested citizens to participate in and access local production.

+After three hours of collective deliberation and several post-it boards, we finally concluded the workshop with the feeling that we had come one step closer to the future LAUDS Factory. We look forward to putting these words into action and developing effective strategies to implement the principles of the project here in Hamburg.
